Drawn from the Dark

A digital board game about holding a village together while the horde closes in. Every turn you reach into a bag and pull stones — gold, strength, mana, influence — and spend them to recruit units, raise buildings and shore up the palisade. The catch is the dark stones mixed in with them. Pull too many and your turn ends early, and the bag only gets darker as the campaign wears on.

Each round moves through Event, Muster, Battle and End phases, with the enemy pressing the village every turn. Missions come with layered objectives — survive eight rounds, put up two buildings, finish the palisade — plus bonus goals that carry rewards forward into the next mission of the campaign.

Four heroes each change how a run plays: the Knight rallies and reinforces, the Wizard bends the bag itself, the Priest and the King bring their own answers. Built entirely by hand in vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript — the bag logic, phase state machine, enemy AI, campaign progression, artwork and full board UI are all mine.
